Bad Credit Debt Consolidation Loans – What You Should Know
Banks or companies for bad credit loans?
My credit isn't in the absolute gutter, but it's not good at all. I have several high-interest cards that I've been trying to pay off (stupidity of youth), but it's just not going anywhere. If I can get a loan to pay everything off and then make one, responsible monthly payment, I think I could improve my credit in no time. Keep in mind that I do not own a home or have a car in my name. Please do not tell me that I shouldn't get a loan or to pawn my mother's rings or anything of the like- the only thing I am interested in is where I can get a loan, not why I shouldn't or how I can use debt consolidation. Thanks

Debt Consolidation?
Hey, I need some help.
I have bad credit – it's not horrible, but it's really not the best. I was talking to one of the guys who I am paying money to right now. I have a payment arrangement with him, and he is offering me a settlement. I do not have the money to pay it, but he suggested that I go to a place like wells fargo and get a debt consolidation loan. If i have poor credit will I still be able to get this??
I live in Canada – Does anybody know what canadian companies I could use?

I would suggest a finance company–they deal with people with less than perfect credit. Interest rate will be higher, but easier than a bank. Look in your yellow pages–a couple company's would be Beneficial, or American General. Do try for the full amount, if they won't approve that, see how much they will approve. Keep in mind that if you do a settlement, you will be taxed on a certain amout that you did not pay. For example; $5000 debt–you are offered settlement of $2000. This leaves $3000 not paid. Anything over $599 of that $3000 is reported to IRS–they consider that taxable income and you will get a 1099 for that. Good Luck! ***

Anyone know a place to actually GET a loan with bad credit?
We want to, more or less, get a loan for debt consolidation. We screwed up in the past, and have never been able to catch back up again to do it "right" We've gotten our sh** together, worked out a good budget, husband's looking into second job, etc, but we can't seem to find a place to give us a personal loan cause our credit. Id even considered finding a person who would do it but we don't know anyone who has enough money to work out a legal loan with us anyway. I type it in search engines and get a zillion stupid little scams, lies, and confusing things that don't end up working out, and I end up having to apply over and over which is making our credit worse. Anyone have any legitimate places, sites, ideas?
answers:
Why don't you just pay off what you have instead of trying to consolidate it? Talk to all the places you owe money to and set up a repayment schedule then stick with it. You may even be able to negotiate a better rate on things like credit cards.
It will be very difficult if not impossible to get a loan in your current situation and any place that offered you one would have an astronomical interest rate. You should try to work with what you have right now.
Good luck.
Loan debt score of 599?
I need a debt consolidation loan. my credit score is 599. where can i get a loan to pay off all my bills and just have one payment. i tried the places like care one credit. the ones that that my money. had a bad experience (they never paid them and i got into more debt by it) so where can i get a loan
answers:
Use bill payer at your bank and it can send payments to all your creditors for you so you don't have to write checks at all. Having just one payment isn't a great advantage and probably not worth the loan fees. It may increase you cost because of higher interest rates with your FICO score.

Any recommendations for good loans for bad credit…?
I need about $4,500-$5,000 in order to be in good standard with my bills. I am not doing to well. I get paid every 2 weeks and my paycheck goes straight into my overdraft account everytime for the past 3-4 pay periods. I am in need of a loan for at least $4,500 (preferably $5,000) in order to break even. I have applied to a few loan companies and banks, but I am always denied due to poor credit. I am also looking for a part time job for late eve, nights and weekends, and I am currently researching several debt consolidation programs. I am currently working at a full-time job, so once my bills are caught up and/or consolidated, I can make those payments on time. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Please help!
answers:
5,000$ is 420$/month for the next year.
Can you find that money somewhere else than in a loan ?
- a part-time job when you'll find one
- a roommate
- selling a car, boat, etc.
The problem with one more loan is that your troubles are just pushed further on the calendar. You'll have to pay back your debt, and it's going to cost you twice the borrowed amount.
So cut expenses, earn more money, change your life style for a few months and you'll be great in less than 365 days !
Ps : If you like to write, maybe you'll earn enough to make a difference : http://openadsense.com
Good luck !
Bad Credit but looking for a Savings Secured Loan?
Hey there! I am looking for a Secured loan with my savings account or CD as the collateral. Currently I bank with Suntrust and they will not accept any credit score below 640, even though they already have the money! My current credit score is 520, and I the purpose of the loan is for debt consolidation and to boost my credit. I live in Atlanta, GA, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any bank that would give me a loan of this sorts with such a low credit score. Since the loan is secured by money, I didnt think credit score would be a problem, but apparently it is! Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

You should use the savings to pay off the debt and then rebuild your savings as quickly as possible. I know it doesn't feel good have no savings for emergencies (and you should try to keep some if at all possible.)
But realize that if you pledge your savings for a loan, then the savings are not available to you any more than if you had used them to pay off the debt.
And if you borrow against your savings you will be paying much higher interest than you are earning on the savings so you will end up with less than if you pay off the debt and rebuild the savings.
Also paying off the debt as soon as possible by using your savings will do more for your credit score than any debt consolidation.
About the only time it makes sense to borrow against money you have is if it is in a tax sheltered plan like a 401K and you don't want to pay penalties and taxes on an early withdrawal.
